This is an extended warranty of two years, because it not only adds a year warranty damage to the Amazon for normal use, there is protection against accidental damage (because if you delete it or spill on it or otherwise) for two years. I know eventually I’ll probably drop my Kindle or spill something, and I’d rather pay now, 65 then 300 for a new Kindle.
